But until Apple makes it possible, we’ll have to do it some other way. The most convenient method is via your iPhone. In this article, we’ll show you three ways to change the volume on AirPods Pro, plus some cool features that were only recently introduced.

Use the Volume Marker

You’ve probably heard that it’s possible to change the volume on your AirPods Pro using Siri. And now you’re wondering why we’re still reliant on old-fashioned ways. Undoubtedly, Siri can be very useful in certain situations, when you don’t have your phone nearby and don’t particularly want to move. You can change the volume without touching your iPhone or your AirPods.

But what about situations when you can’t really talk? Let’s say you’re in an over-crowded train or listening to music in a dentist’s waiting room. You don’t want to disturb those around you. Moreover, it’d seem a bit silly to start talking to Siri all of a sudden.

In situations like that, the good old ways can still be very useful. All you have to do is press the Volume Marker on your iPhone to turn your volume up or down.

Change Volume Using the Control Center

The second way is similar to the first, meaning that you’ll have to reach for your iPhone in order to change the volume on your AirPods Pro. This method can help you if you have some issues with the volume marker or if it isn’t working properly.

There are two ways to open the control center on Apple phones, depending on the model you have. Those who have newer models can open it by swiping the top right corner of the screen. If you have a model from the previous generation, you can open the control center by swiping from the bottom up.

You’ll see a sign for volume, next to the box where you can adjust brightness. If you want to increase your volume, move it up. Alternatively, if you want to decrease it, simply move it down. That’s it! You now know two ways to change the volume on your AirPods Pro.

Ask Siri to Change Volume

And finally, to Siri. If you want to use Siri to increase or decrease volume, you’ll first have to make sure that your AirPods Pro are paired with your iPhone. If you don’t see them among the paired devices, you can easily connect them via Bluetooth.

All you have to do is say something like: “Hey, Siri, increase the volume!” Just make sure you speak clearly and loud enough and she’ll carry out your instructions.

Siri’s so developed today that she can do much more than just turning your volume up or down. If you want to check your current volume levels, all you have to do is ask Siri. Ask something like: “Hey, Siri, what’s the current volume?”

One of the coolest features of AirPods Pro is that you can adjust the volume levels simply by using your voice. For example, if you want to increase the volume just a bit, all you have to do is say: “Hey, Siri, increase volume by 5%!”

This feature can help you to precisely determine your optimal volume, which can vary from situation to situation. For example, you can have one optimal volume for when you’re at home listening to your favorite podcast. However, this will be different when you’re outdoors surrounded by traffic noise and countless pedestrians.

Change Volume Using Your Mac

If your AirPods Pro are paired to your Mac and you’re using them for listening to an online lecture or watching a movie, here’s how to change the volume.

The quickest way to do it is by using the volume keys on your Mac’s keyboard. You could also open the Menu and click on the volume control icon. All you have to do is move the slider up or down to adjust the volume.
