How to Have Blank Name on Among Us

How to Have a Blank Name in Among Us on PC

Unfortunately, it’s no longer possible to have a blank name in the latest version of Among Us if you use a PC to play the game. In the past, users could disguise themselves pretty well by having a blank name. However, if you try to do this now, you won’t be able to access the clipboard to paste anything into the game.

Most likely, there was a bug in the game before, which allowed players to take advantage of this feature. The game developer already dealt with it on the latest PC version of Among Us. However, some users with the older version of the game may still have a blank name.

But what does having a blank name even mean? A blank name uses a character, called Hangul Filler. In the game, this is considered an acceptable name.

That said, having a blank name entails copying and pasting Hangul Filler as a username. Although Hangul Filler consists of characters, using it means you won’t be able to see the actual characters on the smartphone.

So, if you’re one of those people who has an old version of the game, here are the steps to getting a blank name:

1. Launch “Among Us.”
2. Tap on “Online.”
3. Copy this – “ㅤ”.

Note: You should only copy the blank space between the quotations. Don’t copy the quotations as well!

Once you’ve copied the characters, follow these steps:

1. Go back to the game.
2. Click on your username
3. Delete the username.
4. Paste the characters.

Keep in mind it’s only a matter of time before this option becomes unavailable for those using old versions of the game on their PC.

How to Have a Blank Name in Among Us on iOS and Android

Having an empty or a blank name in Among Us was also possible if you were using a smartphone. Well, until recently. The game developer seems to have dealt with the issue on the smartphone version of the game, so there’s little chance you’ll be able have a blank name. But don’t worry just yet. Instead of the blank name, you can have a dot as a name. You’ve got to admit, it’s still a neat trick.

But, if you really want to get a blank name, we’ll show you the steps. Who knows, maybe it’ll still work for you.

1. Launch the game on your smartphone.
   
   
2. Click on “Online.”
   
   
3. Minimize the game.
   
   
4. Copy “ㅤ” but without the quotation marks. Remember, only copy the space between them.
   
   
5. Go to “Among Us.”
   
   
6. Click on your username on the top of the screen.
   
   
7. Delete the existing username.
   
   
8. Paste the copy.
   

If this works on your device, you should be able to play the game with the blank name. But, if you receive the message “Server refused username” this means the option isn’t available for you. If that’s the case, you can have a dot instead of a blank space. Here’s what you should do:

1. Open the game on your smartphone.
   
2. Click on “Online.”
   
3. Minimize the game.
   
4. Copy only the dot “ㆍ” but don’t copy the quotations marks
   
5. Tap on your username.
   
6. Delete it.
   
7. Paste the dot.
   

Note: Accidentally copying the quotation marks will leave you with a name with quotations marks. You can repeat the steps above if this happens.

Some Among Us users are against blank names, or using a dot as a name, and see this as a sneaky trick. There have been situations when these users would kick players with a blank name off lobbies, so think twice before you go through these steps.

Having a blank name or a dot for a name is a fun trick in Among Us. It enables players to disguise themselves better. Imposters can hide and kick out everyone from the lobby. However, keep in mind that most users playing the game on the PC can’t utilize this function anymore.
