Turn your Apple TV into a gaming console with these great gaming controllers!

New games are released every week; this makes gaming on your Apple TV to be as fun as you want it to be. There is always a new game to play as long as you have the time. Basically, all games on Apple TV works perfectly with the Siri remote. However, an MFi gaming controller provides a more classic and it makes look like you are using a console and it gives a better experience that you will appreciate. Below is the list of my gaming controllers that are available for your Apple TV.

SteelSeries Nimbus

The SteelSeries Company has been known to produce quality game controllers for PCs and Mac. The SteelSeries Nimbus wireless game controller is currently leading the pack.

You will feel comfortable holding it, and it has firm handle grips that are light and easy to grab. The whole game controller is light to make sure that you can hold it for long gaming sessions.

It has a rechargeable battery that can work for up to 40 hours of solid gameplay. Although I have not used it for 40 hours straight but I can assure you that the battery can last for weeks and you can try it if you have the time.

The SteelSeries Nimbus comes with a dedicated menu button placed right at the center so that you can have access to the menu options in several Apple TV controller-supported games.  It also has a four LED light; it makes easy to know which player you are when playing multiplayer games.

The SteelSeries Nimbus also works work with any Apple device that has the Bluetooth feature including Mac, iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch. You can get a SteelSeries Nimbus for around $44.

Horipad Ultimate

If you are a fan of PlayStation, the Horipad Ultimate provides with the same experience both with the design and the way it works.

All the buttons that you are familiar with are present on the Horipad, buttons like the triggers, bumpers, the directional pad and also the classic analog sticks. The Horipad has a menu button to assist you in scrolling through your Apple TV when needed. The edge that Horipad has over the SteelSeries Nimbus is the increased battery life.

The Horipad battery can last for 80 hours, and that’s quite long if you ask me, and you can be sure that you won’t always need the Lightning cable. You can get the Horipad for just $49

MadCatz C.T.R.L.i

Most people don’t like the MadCatz controllers because they feel they are substandard. But the truth is that MadCatz has been producing controllers for some years now, and they know what they are doing. If you are a fan of the Xbox-style controller layout, then you should consider going for the MadCatz C.T.R.L.i MFi because it’s the perfect one available.

The MadCatz C.T.R.L.i MFi has the classic analog sticks, comes with a directional pad and precision buttons that are color-coded. Also has two bumpers and two triggers.  You have all the buttons you need to enjoy your game on the MadCatz C.T.R.L.i MFi. To make it better, it has a special Home button that you can use as an alternative to the Siri remote’s TV button.

The only drawback about the MadCatz C.T.R.L.i MFi is that you will need a two AAA batteries, which is part of the package that is available for $59.

NOTE: MadCatz is no more in business, but you can still get the controller on Amazon, and it’s quite a good deal. If you don’t mind buying a product from a company that has been closed down, then I will suggest that you go for the MadCatz C.T.R.L.i MFi.
