If you will like to change the language on your OnePlus 5, I’m sure you will be glad to know that the OnePlus 5 works with a several languages. You are allowed to change the language to languages including German, French, Spanish , Korean and many other popular language. But you should also know that changing the language will affect all apps (including third party apps) and the user interface settings as well. The only thing it won’t affect is the OnePlus 5 keyboard; you can change this separately.

  2. On the homepage screen, click on the Settings icon
  3. You can now click on My Device option (located at the top of the screen)
  4. Tap on Language and input (located under Input and control subheading)
  5. Click on Language at the top of the page
  6. Click on the New Language you wish to use as the standard language on your OnePlus 5

How to Change the Keyboard Language on OnePlus 5

  1. Power on your OnePlus 5
  2. On the homepage screen, tap on the Settings icon
  3. Search for Language and Input and tap it.
  4. Beside the keyboard, tap on the gear icon and select the language you prefer
  5. Unmark the boxes beside the languages to deselect the languages you don’t want anymore
  6. If you selected multiple keyboards and you want to access them, just swipe sideways on the spacebar to see them

I can’t find my preferred language?

It’s possible that your language is not on the list of languages, to fix this you will need to Root your OnePlus 5. Follow the tips below to install your preferred language your OnePlus 5:

  1. Root your OnePlus 5
  2. You will then Download and install MoreLocale 2
  3. After installing, run MoreLocale 2 and select custom locale placed near the top of the screen
  4. Click on the ISO639 and ISO3166 icons to choose your country and your preferred language from, after seeing it, click on Set
