Android phones sometimes suffer from a buildup of cached data.  This slows everything down and could make you very frustrated with your device.  There is a way to clear the entire cache on your Samsung Galaxy S7 and we’ll tell you how to get it done.

You can either clear the entire cache on your Samsung Galaxy S7 or clear the cache of individual applications.  We’ll cover all the bases.  That way you can do either individual apps or your whole S7 smartphone.

Files and data get stored in your Android system memory and you’ll want to clear things out occasionally.  Think of it as taking out the trash.  It gets rid of the garbage on your phone that you don’t need for it to operate.

  1. Swipe down on the shade at the top of your Samsung S7 and tap the settings icon, which is gear shaped. You could also tap the apps drawer at the bottom middle of your device, then, navigate to settings.
  2. Next, you’ll scroll down to Applications and tap it.
  3. Then, tap application manager to manage individual app settings such as clearing its cache.
  4. Select the application that’s giving you a problem by tapping on it. On the next app page tap on Storage at the top.
  5. Where it says, Cache tap on Clear Cache and the Cache for that individual app get cleared out.

Just as easy as clearing the cache on your whole Samsung Galaxy S7, right?  If you’re still having issues with an application after clearing its cache, you could try clearing the data associated with the app.

To clear the data, follow the same steps for clearing the apps cache except, you’ll tap clear data instead.  If clearing the cache and data doesn’t resolve things, then, you’ll want to uninstall and re-install the application because it may have gotten corrupted.

Heather..my phone will no longer charge! I downloaded software that rewrote my ROM on Samsung 7 and now cannot charge. Is there a battery reset? Or software reset to older code? Is there a work around or fix..bottomline?
