How to Create a PDF from Multiple Images in Windows 10

PDFs are one of the most useful file extensions for any device. The format is completely platform-agnostic, capable of being used, read, and edited by Windows, Mac OS, iOS, Android, and nearly any other platform under the sun. Adobe Acrobat is a powerful tool for creating, editing, and viewing PDFs, but the full version of the software is also incredibly expensive. Aside from using built-in Windows 10 programs, there is an online alternative called TinyWow that makes things much easier and faster.

Using TinyWow

TinyWow offers a variety of free online conversion, pdf, and other valuable tools making tedious tasks quicker. A quick guide on how to use TinyWow.

Visit TinyWow.com, then locate the “JPG to PDF” option.
Click “Upload” or drag the images you want to convert.
To add more images, click “Add Files” then “Create PDF.”
To retrieve the PDF, click “Download.”

And that’s it! TinyWow is an absolute beast for PDF, images, and more. The good thing is, it’s FREE to use.

Converting in Windows 10

If you just want to merge multiple images into a single PDF in Windows 10, you don’t need any additional software. Here’s how to quickly create a PDF from one or more files in Windows 10 using the built-in Microsoft Print to PDF feature.

For our example, we have three JPEG images which we would like to combine into a single PDF. While our example deals with pictures, the steps demonstrated here will work with any compatible image format, such as scanned documents or slides.

To combine your images into a PDF, first select all images in File Explorer or on your Desktop. Next, right-click on one of the selected images and click Print.

The Print Pictures window will appear. From the Printer drop-down menu in the upper-left, select Microsoft Print to PDF. Next, choose your desired “paper size” and layout. Note that “paper size” references the dimensions of your impending PDF.

If desired, you can choose the “fit picture to frame” checkbox. This will scale up your images to completely fill the paper size dimensions. Note, however, that it may also cut off portions of the image if the original image doesn’t have the same aspect ratio as the paper size.

When you’re ready, click Print. Instead of physically printing your images, Windows will create a new PDF file and ask you where to save it. Choose your desired location for the PDF and name it appropriately. Finally, click Save to complete the process.

You can now navigate to the location of your created PDF and open it in Acrobat Reader or any compatible PDF application. As you can see from our example, we successfully created a three page PDF from three separate source images.

The Microsoft Print to PDF feature is a system-wide virtual printer that can be accessed from most applications. This means that, in addition to creating a PDF from multiple source files, you can “print” the output of most applications to PDF as well.
