Perhaps you receive this message: “Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. 3. Next, in Notepad click on “File,” scroll to “Save As,” and click on it.                                                                                                            
4. The file name shall be “wufix.reg”
5. In the “Save as type,” click the selector box and choose “All Files.”
6. Click on the “Save” button. You’ve now saved the “wufix.reg” file to your computer.
7. Next, you need to run the file you’ve just created and agree as prompted.

This should fix the Windows Update Error 0x80070057.

Fix 4: Reset Windows Update Agent
