How to Fix a Samsung Galaxy A7
Samsung makes some of the best smartphones in the world. Their Galaxy A class is a mid-range choice for those who don’t want to spend a fortune on a phone but still appreciate quality.
But just like with any smartphone, glitches and bugs happen.
In this article, we’ll discuss common galaxy A7 issues and offer solutions on how to fix them.
If Your Galaxy A7 Won’t Turn On
There’s nothing worse than picking up your Galaxy A7 and not being able to turn it on. You keep pressing and holding the power button, but nothing happens.
Unless your phone got wet, there are two reasons why this is happening.
It’s either a firmware or hardware issue. More specifically, a system crash that many Samsung Galaxy A7 users have complained about recently. You can fix this inconvenience by performing a Forced restart.
All you have to do is press the Power key and the Volume Down key simultaneously and hold for about 10 seconds. However, on rare occasions when this doesn’t work, you can try the following:
- Just press the Volume Down key and hold.
- Press the Power key without letting go of the Volume Down key.
- Do this for about 10 seconds or so.
If it doesn’t work the first or second time, it’s okay to try a few more times before giving up. If the problem persists, it’s probably best to get it repaired professionally.
If Your Galaxy A7 Restarts and Shuts Down Randomly
This problem might sound strange, and we can see how it can become irritating. You’re tapping contently on your phone one minute, and the next, it begins to restart, or it just powers off out of nowhere.
It could be a hardware issue, or it could be that you’ve recently installed an app that’s causing the problem. To make sure, the best course of action is to run your Galaxy A7 in Safe Mode and observe the situation. Here’s how you do it:
- Turn off your Galaxy A7.
- Press the Power key and hold it until the “Samsung Galaxy A7” appears on the screen.
- After the name and model of your phone appear, let go of the Power key and then hold the Volume Down key.
- Keep pressing the Volume Down key until your phone is done with the restarting.
- You’ll be able to see the Safe Mode display in the bottom left corner.
- Let go of the Volume Down Key.
You can now proceed to your phone Settings>Apps and uninstall the app or apps that you think may be the reason for the sudden restarting and shutting down.
If Your Galaxy A7 Gets Too Hot While You Use It
Everyone knows that phones tend to get hot when you use them too much. Especially on a phone call or when you’re running some heavy software.
But they’re not supposed to get too hot too frequently, and that includes the Galaxy A7.
If you’re experiencing this problem, there could be a few reasons why that’s the case. Maybe too many apps are running in the background at all times.
Or maybe you need to replace the battery. That said, it could also be that your phone is running on outdated software and that you haven’t been keeping up with the updates regularly. Fortunately, that’s an easy fix. Here’s how to check if there’s a software update available for galaxy A7:
- Go to your Galaxy A7 home screen and then open the App drawer.
- Select “Settings” and then select “About Device”.
- If it says that there’s an update available, select “Download Updates Manually”.
Then you can choose whether to install the updates immediately or overnight. The process will depend on the speed of your internet connection, but overall, it shouldn’t be more than a few minutes.
Take Good Care of Your Galaxy A7
Samsung Galaxy A7 is a powerful phone that will serve any user well. These occasional problems aren’t unusual, and they can happen regardless of which phone you’re using. The good news is that often the fix only requires a few simple steps.
And if you’re careful about which apps you install, you’re probably never going to have that problem again. Similarly, making sure you always have the latest version of the OS will ensure your Galaxy A7 works even better.
