The Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge have a star sign in the status bar of the smartphone. Many don’t know what this start icon means on the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge and we’ll explain below what it means. The star symbol means that “Interruptions Mode” is activated, which is a feature that appears when only calls and notifications appear, which you have previously selected as important.

The Galaxy S7 star symbol appears on the top of the screen. This new “Priority” setting is activated with “Interruptions Mode.” This feature can be activated manually and also turned off if you don’t want the star symbol appearing on the status bar of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge.

 

How to deactivate star symbol on Galaxy S7
If you don’t like the Interruptions Mode feature on the Samsung Galaxy S7 and want to deactivate it, thus wanting to hide the star icon in the status bar. The following is a guide on how to turn off the star icon in the Galaxy S7 status bar:

  1. Turn on the Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 Edge
  2. From the Home screen select on “Menu”
  3. Select on “Settings”
  4. Select “Sound & Notifications”
  5. Select “Interruptions”

 

After you have followed the instructions above, the star icon will be hidden and the “Interrupt Mode” will be disabled on the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge.
