Galaxy S8 And Galaxy S8 Plus: How To Disable Background Apps

You may have recently purchased the Samsung Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus and you are curious why you battery is running out so fast. A possible reason is because you may have apps open in the background such as social networking apps, lifestyle apps, or emailing apps that take up battery because they are being constantly update, which destroys your phones battery.

The emails that are being searched for us quite a bit of battery life and other bandwidth because of the applications that it tries to update and make your smartphone slow down. We recommend for you to manually update the apps by yourself on your Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus to save your battery life.

 

Closing the background applications:

  1. Make sure your Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus is turned on.
  2. From your home screen, choose the Recent apps 
  3. Click on the Active apps icon
  4. You have to choose End, which is right next to the application. Then click on End All.
  5. Choose OK if you have the chance.

 

Closing and disabling the background data for all services:

  1. Make sure your Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus is turned on.
  2. Choose Data usage when you are at the settings.
  3. At the top corner of your phone, click on the three dots that will open your context menu.
  4. Make sure “Auto sync data” is unchecked.
  5. Choose Ok

 

Disabling the background data for Gmail and other Google services:

  1. Make sure your Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus is turned on.
  2. Click on Accounts, which is on the settings menu.
  3. Click on Google
  4. Choose the “the name of your account”
  5. You can disable the Google servicesthat you do not want by unchecking it.

 

Disabling the background data for Twitter:

  1. Make sure your Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus is turned on.
  2. Choose Accounts when you are at the settings menu.
  3. Click on Twitter
  4. Make sure “Sync Twitter” is unchecked.

 

You can use these tips below in order to disable the background that Facebook requires you to:

  1. Make sure your Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus is turned on.
  2. Navigate to the settings menu of Facebook.
  3. Click on “Refresh Interval”
  4. Click on Never
