a smart TV
a wireless display adapter, such as Chromecast, or the AllShare Cast hub

While adapters aren’t free, they’re a great choice for anyone who doesn’t have a smart TV. You use an HDMI cable to connect these devices to your television, and then your Wi-Fi to connect your phone to the device.

To mirror your phone, follow these steps:

Open the Status Bar – Swipe down from the top of your screen.
Swipe Down to View Quick Settings – You might also need to swipe left to see additional settings.
Select “Smart View”
Switch it On – There is a toggle here that you need to activate.
Select Your TV or Adapter

Now, you will see a list of external devices your Samsung can connect to. Tap on the right option to select it.

A Note on Mirroring from Apps

If you’re using the YouTube app or another media player, there may be an in-app option to show the video on your TV. To select this option, find the Cast icon. You can also use the phone’s Gallery app to cast your photos to the big screen directly.

Mirroring Your Phone to Your PC

In previous Android phones, Samsung’s SideSync app lets you connect to your computer. But SideSync isn’t available for the Galaxy S9/S9+, so you should look to a third-party application instead, such as Vysor, Mobizen, or Apowersoft.

Using these apps is simple, though the specifics depend on the app. Here are the basic steps you need to take:

Install the Application on Your Computer
Install It on Your Phone
Make Sure Both Devices Are Connected to the Same Wi-Fi Network

With these settings in place, you can use your phone to select the best mirroring option for you.
