How To Hard Factory Reset the Xiaomi Redmi 5A
Has your Xiaomi Redmi 5A become so glitchy that you can’t even make an ordinary phone call or send a text message? If so, the only way to deal with it might be to factory reset or hard reset your smartphone. Luckily, that isn’t a hard thing to do.
In this article, you will learn about two different methods to factory reset your phone. Both are simple, so you won’t go wrong whichever of the two you choose. To further simplify the process, we have broken these methods down into easy-to-follow steps.
The first method involves a few more steps than the second one, so let’s begin with that.
You will begin by pressing the Power button located on the right side of your phone and holding it down for a couple of seconds.
The next step is similar to the previous one, only this time you need to press down and hold both the Power button and the Volume Up button.
Once you do that, you will be greeted by the “MI” logo on the screen of your phone. When that occurs, you may release the two buttons.
You will now see a screen with many different options, but you only need to find the one that says “recovery” and tap on it.
A new screen will pop up with just two options to choose from. These are “OK” and “return”. Simply click “OK” to move on to the next step of the process.
After you click “OK”, you will enter the main menu, where you will need to click the “Wipe Data” option. Keep in mind that you will have to navigate the menu by using the Volume keys located on the right-hand side of your phone. The Power button will be used to confirm the selected option.
On the next screens, use the Volume keys and the Power button to select the “Wipe all data” option and then confirm.
Using the same keys, go back to the main menu and then select “Reboot”. After that, select the “Reboot to system” option and press on the Power button to confirm it. And that’s it – your phone will now factory reset.
Go to Settings and then choose “Additional settings”.
In this list of options, you need to select “Backup & reset” This will open up a new screen, where you will have to select “Factory data reset”.
Over here you need to go to the bottom of the screen and tap the “Reset phone” button. On the next screen, you will be prompted to press one of two buttons (“Cancel” and “Next step”). Tap on the one that says “Next step.”
A third screen will now show up, again with two options. All you need to do is tap on “OK” to initiate a factory reset of your Redmi 5A.
Factory reset is a simple process that only takes a few minutes to be complete. Any of these two methods will help you achieve the desired results. Keep in mind that this will erase all the apps, files, and settings from your phone. So before you proceed with the factory reset, make sure to back up all your data.
