Posted by Arch on January 2, 2019

We rely on internet-based apps to increase our productivity and make it easier for us to communicate with our friends and family. However, most of the productivity and communication goes away if the wifi on your smartphone stops working. A quick fix would be to use mobile internet, but cellular networks aren’t exactly dependable since the coverage isn’t always that good.

If you are experiencing wifi issues with your Oppo A37, there are a few methods you can apply to deal with this problem. Let’s take a look at some of the most common ones.

Forget the Network You Are Currently on

If you forget your current network and then reconnect back, your wifi problem might be solved. Here’s how to do it:

1. Open the Setting App

Once inside the Setting app, tap on Wi-Fi to access additional settings.

2. Select the “i” Icon

Tap on the small “i” icon to access additional options.

3. Select Forget This Network

Tap on Forget This Network to remove the wifi network you are currently using.

4. Wait a Little Bit

You should wait for a while before you reconnect to the same network. When you connect back, you need to reenter the password for your network. It is advisable to write down your password beforehand so you don’t forget it.

Turn the Wifi Off and On

A simpler method to resolve a wifi issue on your Oppo A37 is to switch the wifi off and on. You need to take the following steps:

1. Access the Settings App

Tap on the Settings app to access the menu and select Wi-Fi at the top of the page.

2. Disable Wi-Fi

Toggle the switch next to Enable Wi-Fi to off. This action will disable the wifi connection on your Oppo A37.

3. Wait a Little Bit

Wait for a while before you toggle the switch back to on. If this doesn’t help, you might want to restart your phone.

Restart the Smartphone

Another common way to deal with wifi issues is to turn the phone off and then back on. Hold the Power button and move the Power-Off slider to the right. Then you can power your Oppo A37 back on to see whether the problem has been fixed.

Other Wifi Issues

The lack of wifi connectivity on your Oppo A37 could be caused by some external problems. These are the two most common wifi issues that are not caused by your smartphone:

Issues with Your Wifi Router

The problem might be caused by a network issue with the router you are trying to connect to. You can do a simple test to see whether your router is OK. Try connecting other wifi-enabled devices to the same router. If other devices cannot connect to the router as well, there is a problem with it.

A simple fix is to restart your router, which you can do by powering it off and on.

Issues with Your Provider

Your provider might be experiencing some network issues. If restarting the router didn’t fix the wifi connection, you should get in touch with your provider to see whether the problem is on their end.

The Final Connection

In case none of the methods listed above fix the wifi issue on your Oppo A37, you could be dealing with a more serious hardware or software problem. At this point, it is advisable to take your smartphone to a phone repair shop.
