With today’s technology, you aren’t limited to your small phone screen. Want to share a video with everyone in the room? Why not try mirroring your screen?

It’s simple to do with a Xiaomi Redmi 5A. And you don’t need a third-party application to do it. The MI Suite has everything you need to share your screens in no time.

So keep reading to mirror your phone screen on your PC or TV. Follow these simple steps. And see your smartphone in a bigger picture.

Screen Mirroring to Smart TV

Casting your phone screen to your television is easy. But you need a smart TV to do it. If you have that covered, grab your Xiaomi Redmi 5A and follow the easy steps below.

Step 1 – Turn on Mirroring Option on Smart TV

First, make sure that your smart TV is ready to receive mirrored information. Go to your TV’s settings menu and find the mirroring option. Make sure it’s switched on.

Step 2 – Go to Phone Settings

Now, go to your phone’s settings menu. You can do this in a variety of ways. Tap on the Gear icon from your Home Screen. Or swipe down from the top of your screen and select “Settings” from your Quick Menu.

Step 3 – Go to Wireless Display

Next, from your main settings menu, tap on more options. In the next screen, select Wireless Display. For some phones, it may be called Wireless Devices. Toggle the switch to ON.

Step 4 – Select Your TV

Lastly, your phone will check for your tv and other available wireless devices on your wireless network. Select your TV from the list to mirror your screen. Give your TV the necessary permissions to begin mirroring.

Screen Mirroring to PC or Laptop for Windows 10 Users

Sometimes you just need to see images or videos on a larger screen. Follow the steps below to mirror your Xiaomi Redmi 5A screen without additional software.

Step 1 – Check Your PC Specs

First, check your PC’s specs. Make sure you’re running Windows 10. Also, make sure that you check on “Projecting to This PC” in your Settings menu and toggle it to allow mirroring.

Step 2 – Go to Wireless Display

Next, go to your Settings menu on your phone and tap on the Wireless Display option. You should see your PC or laptop listed on the next screen. If the color is blocked out such that you can’t choose it, wait a few seconds. And then try to tap on it again.

Step 3 – Connect to PC

Finally, click on your notifications/dialog icon in the far right side of your PC bar. Click on “Connect.” If you don’t see that option, click on expand to see more options.

Select your device from the list. Your phone display should show on the TV after moments of refreshing.

Final Thought

Xiaomi’s native software allows you to mirror cast your Redmi 5A display onto your PC or smart TV. However, you can always use third-party apps, too. Just use them with caution. MIUI devices have their own software for mirroring so downloading additional software may cause conflicts.
