How To Change The Picture On The Windows 10 Lock Screen

Posted by nik on December 18, 2015

One of the many beautiful things about Windows 10 is that you can personalize it – whether that be desktop wallpaper, a screen saver, or even themes. One part of Windows 10 that’s often overlooked for customizing is the lock screen. And we’re going to show you how to do just that today: customizing the lock screen.

In just a few simple steps, we’ll show you how to change the lock screen picture with a preset image or your very own custom image.

First, open the Start menu and then click “Settings.”

Next, click on the “Personalization” option.

Navigate over to the lock screen tab.

Here you can choose from a handful of preset images or you can choose your own image by clicking the “Browse” button. Once you choose an option, all you have to do is hit “X” at the top right corner, and you have your new lock screen picture!

Alternatively, you can choose to use a slide show as your lock screen. Just click the dropdown box under “Background” and choose an album on your computer as if you were searching for a single image, that is, if you have an album to use.

That’s all there is to changing the picture on the Windows 10 lock screen! If you have any comments, suggestions, or requests for any quick tips, be sure to leave them over on the PCMech Forums!
