How To Fix Galaxy S8 And Galaxy S8 Plus Fast Battery Drain Problem

The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus are the new smartphones that Samsung decided to recently release. The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus are overall very good phones but there have been recent reports about user having their phones battery to die quickly.

Since the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus are relatively new, there may be some Android bugs in the software that need to be modified for the battery problem to be resolved. The problem could also stem from certain app that is being used on your Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus. We will discuss how you can solve the battery problem in the steps below.

Resetting or Rebooting your Galaxy S8 & Galaxy S8 Plus

A possible solution to fix your Samsung Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus battery from dying is to do simple factory reset of your device. However, if you do decide this, make sure to backup all your information, as you will lose it once you erase your Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus. You can learn how to reboot & reset the Galaxy S8.

Disabling Location, LTE, Bluetooth

The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus use a lot of battery when your location, Bluetooth, and/or LTE is on. Now, we know these features are necessary, but when they are needed, we recommend that you turn them off to save your battery on your Galaxy S8. Now, if you do not want to do that, simply put your Galaxy S8 on power saving mode.

Disabling Wi-Fi

Your Galaxy S8 will consume a lot of battery if your Wi-Fi is on all day. You will most likely not need to be connected to Wi-Fi all day and you can save battery life if you turn of the Wi-Fi when you are not using it. There will be times where you should turn off Wi-Fi as your Galaxy S8 is already using 4G/LTE so then it is pointless.

Galaxy S8 Power-Saving Mode Usage

Your Galaxy S8 battery life can be solved by using the Power Saving Mode as it helps with making your battery life longer. When you do this, it reduces the amount of data that is in the background. You can also not allow the GPS to run that will improve battery life. There will be an option to do this automatically, or you can do it manually.

Disabling Or Managing the Background Sync

Your Galaxy S8 battery is being used if your are using open apps. You can solve this problem by simply getting rid of all the apps in your background that you are not using. If you want to learn how to do this, all you have to do is bring down your settings and disable the option from Sync. Another possible way to do this is to go to Settings, then Account, and then not allow apps to sync. From then on, you will see that the battery life on your Galaxy S8 will improve.

Tethering Reduction

You can save the battery life on your Galaxy S8 if you do not tether as much. There are positives to tethering with your Galaxy S8 however; if you reduce it you will save a lot of battery. To stop this problem, just get rid of the tethering feature.

TouchWiz Launcher Replacement

The thing to know before using TouchWiz is, if you decide to use it, it will be in the background so it will take up a lot of memory and waste battery. We recommend using Nova Launcher, as it is overall better.
