Being able to take and share photos from your Huawei P10 is great, but there may be some shots that you’d like to hide from those that take a browse through your gallery. If you own the Huawei P10, you’ll be relieved to hear that there is a feature that can hide photos. With Private Mode you’ll be able to stop photos from appearing in your gallery. You can also use Private Mode to hide videos.
Once you’ve set Private Mode up, you won’t be able to view your hidden photos and videos until you’ve entered a password, a pin or an unlock pattern. Follow the guide below to set up Private Mode on the Huawei P10.
 
How to add and remove files from Private Mode on the Huawei P10
With Private Mode you’ll be able to hide all sorts of files, including both photos and videos. Follow the first steps below to add hidden files.

  1. Turn Private Mode On:
  2. Go to the gallery app and select the photos or videos you’d like to hide.
  3. Once the photos and videos are selected, tap the Overflow menu in the top right.
  4. Tap the ‘Move to Private’ button.

  1. You’ll now need to enable Private Mode. First, use two fingers to swipe down from the top of the screen.
  2. A list of options will appear. Tap Private Mode.
  3. If this is your first time using Private Mode, prompts will guide you through the setup stage. You’ll need to setup a pin code. After this, you can use that pin code to access any hidden photos, videos or files in the future.

  1. To switch off Private Mode, drag two fingers down from the top of the screen.
  2. A list of options will appear. Tap Private Mode.
  3. You can now tap to disable Private Mode.
