The Google Pixel and Pixel XL has the ability to add a contact to your favorite list, so you can access their information quickly without having to find them in your contacts. Sometimes you have to many people favorited or don’t use the favorite for that person anymore and want to remove the star. Below we’ll explain how to remove and delete favorites on the Pixel and Pixel XL.
For those that have owned an Android device before, you’ve probably already had many people favorited from past smartphones. Here we’ll explain how to delete and remove certain people that you don’t talk to or like anymore. The following are instructions on how to remove favorite contacts on the Pixel and Pixel XL.
 
 
How to delete and remove Star Favorite contacts

1. Turn on the Pixel and Pixel XL.
2. Go to the “Phone” app.
3. Go to the “Contacts” section.
4. Select the contact that you want to favorite or star.
5. Tap the “star” to remove the contact from your Favorites list.

 
By default the Google Pixel and Pixel XL won’t let you manually sort your favorites in order to place the most important people at the top. Instead all contacts are listed alphabetically, this will change with the more people you delete or add to the list.
If there is a person that you want to add again to your favorites, just go to that person’s contact page and check their star.
