How To Remove Bloatware On Samsung Galaxy S5

For those that recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S5, it comes with preloaded apps called bloatware. You may want to know how delete bloatware from the Galaxy S5 to create extra storage space. But it’s important to note, that when you remove and disable bloatware from the Galaxy S5, you don’t get that much more extra space on the smartphone to install other apps.

It’s possible to remove Galaxy S5 bloatware including any of Google apps like Gmail, Google+, Play Store and others. Also you can remove bloatware apps like Samsung’s apps S Health, S Voice and others. It’s unknown if Samsung is allowing Galaxy S5 users to remove them because of a local law in South Korea, which says that smartphone makers must let customers uninstall most apps found on a device, including some the ones mentioned before.

Some Galaxy S5 bloatware apps can be deleted and uninstalled, but others can only be disabled. A disabled app won’t appear in your app drawer and won’t be able to run in the background, but it will still be present on the device.

The following is a guide on how to remove bloatware apps:

  1. Turn on the Galaxy S5
  2. Open the app drawer and select the edit button
  3. Minus icons will appear on any app that can be uninstalled or disable
