  1. Launch VLC Media Player.
  2. Click the “Media” tab in the Main Menu.
  3. Click the “Open Capture Device” option.
  4. Click the “File” tab.
  5. Click the “+ Add” button and browse for the video.
  6. Once you’ve added the video to the list, click the arrow next to the “Play” button.
  7. Select the “Convert” option.

  9. Once the new pane opens, name the file, or it won’t get saved.
  10. Next, click the “Video codec” tab.
  11. Check the “Video” box.
  12. Click the “Resolution” tab.
  13. Select the new values in the “Frame Size Width” and “Height” boxes.
  14. Click “Save” or “Create,” depending on the version of the player.
  15. Next, click the “Browse” button on the Convert pane and select the destination folder for your new video.
  16. Click the “Start” button.
  17. VLC Media Player will then convert your video according to the settings you chose.

 
The source video will remain intact after the conversion completes. Play the new resized video to check whether the picture and sound are ok.

Option 4: EZGIF

If you’re using a desktop or laptop computer and want to resize a video quickly and easily, give EZGIF a try. This tool is available online, so you don’t need to install anything, and it supports various file formats.

  1. Open your browser and navigate to ezgif.com.
  2. Click the “Video to GIF” tab in the Main Menu.
  3. Select “Resize.”
  4. Browse for the video you want to resize and double-click on it.
  5. Enter the desired height in the “New height” column.
  6. Enter the desired width in the “New width” column.
  7. Click the “Save” button to export your resized video.

Aside from resizing, you cut the video if you want to save even more space. Keep in mind that EZGIF supports files up to 35MB in size.
