How To Turn OFF Google Pixel And Pixel XL Parallax Effect (Moving Background)

The recent release of the Google Pixel or Pixel XL has lot of new features that Google users like, but one feature that is still the same from Pixel or Pixel XL S6 is the parallax effect feature, which makes the background on the Pixel or Pixel XL move. What parallax effect does is give your Google Pixel or Pixel XL’s home screen a 3D look without actually being 3D. So when you move the screen around it looks like the apps or wallpaper is moving around in the background.

But this feature simply uses the gyroscope and accelerometer together to create the illusion like it’s actually 3D. Even though it’s cool at first, some users get tired of it and want to disable the parallax effect feature on the Pixel or Pixel XL.

How To Turn OFF Pixel or Pixel XL Parallax Effect:

  1. Turn on your Pixel or Pixel XL
  2. From the Home screen, select on Menu
  3. Select Settings
  4. Browse and choose “Wallpaper”
  5. Change the “Wallpaper motion effect” OFF
