Instagram Video Downloader – Download on your Phone (iPhone, Android) or Desktop

Ever since it got started back in 2010, Instagram has been one of the most popular places to share photos and videos with friends, family, and the world. With a billion people using the site every month, and more than a hundred million posts every day, Instagram is one of the most-used apps in the world. It’s a must-have app for most of us, good for sharing both photos and videos from your phone.

The rise of videos on the site has been a huge driver of its success. Instagram videos were originally limited to just 15 seconds, but now each video can now range up to 60 full seconds. With all that video on the site, it’s no surprise that a lot of us would like to download our favorite Instagram videos to our own devices. Instagram doesn’t make that easy, however. There are some programs and online tools you can use – and we’ve now created one of the easiest-to-use tools out there.

It couldn’t be easier. Just grab the URL of the video you want to save and paste it in the text box at the top of this article. Hit “Process” and you’re off to the races!

Trying to find the URL of a video? Click or tap the “share” icon on an Instagram post (the one that looks like an up-arrow coming out of a trash can) and then select “Copy Link”. Then you can paste it directly into the text box.

We have several tutorials on other ways of downloading Instagram videos. Check out our article on how to download someone’s live Instagram video, our general article on downloading Instagram video, or our tutorial on downloading embedded video from any website.

Instagram isn’t your jam, but you want to download video from other sites? We have you covered there, too, with our download tool for YouTube video and our download tool for Facebook video.

I did the same thing. Added url from the instagram page and got the same error message “Error: Wrong URL or account is private.” So it doesn’t work!

Doesn’t work. “Error: Wrong URL or account is private.” for a current URL to a public post.
