New Details on iPhone 6 Design, Specs and Release Date for 4.7-inch & 5.5-inch Screens

The iPhone 6 release is suppose to be a complete redesign with the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch models expected to go on sale in late September or early October after the September 9th unveiling by Apple. Sources have said that the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 “Phablet” will ship one month after the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 goes on sale. But the negative news is that neither the 4.7-inch nor the 5.5-inch will be featuring a Sapphire glass, but instead both will have a material harder than the current Gorilla glass.

As for the performance of the iPhone 6, it’s expected to have an Apple A8 chip with 2.0GHz processor, much better than the current 1.3GHz and Apple A7 chip on the iPhone 5s. There is also an expected upgrade to the Wi-Fi with the new iPhone 6 supporting a 802.11ac Wi-Fi along with a larger batter of 2,100mAh. In addition to the larger screen on the iPhone 6, it’s also expected that the iPhone 6 will have a higher resolution display and could feature NFC technology to support mobile payments. Several sources have also mentioned Apple unveiling a new feature with Beats headphones called “handshake” that is a hardware in the headphone that would be connected through the Lightning connector.

A recent design creation by Martin Hajek is probably the best mockup of what the iPhone 6 could look like based on leaked parts. Mr. Hajek has his iPhone 6 creation so detailed that it even shows the circuits on the logic board as you can see below

This particular concept, first shared by Nowhereelse.fr, shows the 4.7-inch iPhone 6—one of 2 models expected to launch this fall. We have seen a few part leaks for the larger, 5.5-inch model, but they have been far less frequent, and many folks believe the device has been delayed.

Many have been waiting a long time to be able to upgrade and purchase the new iPhone 6, the release date can’t come soon enough for the millions of smartphone owners wanting to buy the iPhone 6 when it comes out.
