How to Record Minecraft on the Kindle Fire

You recently got hooked on Minecraft. You’ve become very good at it. Now you want to show the world your skills by recording your adventures and uploading them to YouTube. The problem is, you’re playing on your Kindle Fire and have no idea how to do it. Don’t worry about it. We’ve got you covered with three of the best screen recorders to capture your favorite Minecraft moments in high quality.

RecMe Free Screen Recorder

Released back in 2015, RecMe is a free screen-recording app available on the Amazon Appstore. With regular updates, it works well with the new generation of Fire tablets. There’s no time limit on how long you can record, and they don’t add a watermark to the recorded video.

The easy-to-use app, however, requires you to root your device. Then you can make high-quality recordings, with a framerate of 60fps, resolution of up to 1080p, and a 32Mbps bitrate. You can also record internal and microphone audio, at the same time. There’s an option to pause and resume while recording, so you don’t have to edit as much afterwards. And you can save the videos as an MP4 or an MKV file.

There are a lot of settings, even with the free version, but if you want all the tools at your disposal, you have to get the Pro version. The Pro version allows you to set a recording countdown, and stop when you lock the screen. You’ll also have the option of displaying the front or back camera in your recording.

This is a very good screen recorder for Minecraft, as you can play for hours without any time limitations.

Apps Unavailable on Amazon’s Appstore

The first app is the only one that’s available in the official store. If that one doesn’t work for you there are some other options, but you’ll have to install some third-party apps.

Downloading Google Play

To get started follow these steps:

Go to Settings on your Kindle Fire.
Go to Security.
Select “enable apps from unknown sources.” This will allow you to download and install third-party apps.
Search for “Google Account Manager apk” on your browser, and find the latest version.
Download and install the file. The downloaded files will be stored in your LocalStorage tab in the Download folder.
Search for the latest version of Google Services Framework apk.
Download and install as the previous file.
Finally, search and download the latest Google Playstore apk.
Install the Google Playstore app. Now you can download any Screen-Recorder from the store.

Note: You have to install the app in the exact order, otherwise it won’t work.

MNML Screen Recorder

Still in the development process, MNML (Minimal) is a relatively recent addition to the Play Store. This means that you can still get it for free, without any annoying ads cluttering the interface. It’s also open-source, so it will be growing very quickly.

The app is very easy to use, with a user-friendly interface that isn’t intrusive in the slightest. You can record videos up to 60fps and 25Mbps. The only downside is that the resolution is capped at 1080p, so if you wanted a 4K recorder, this isn’t the one for you. However, if you want a lightweight non-intrusive recorder that’s also free, you can’t do any better.

Screen Cam Screen Recorder

It’s free. It’s lightweight. It has no ads. It also contains only the essential recording options and has nothing to weigh it down. This all makes it enjoyable and simple to use. The app allows you to customize the video bitrate, resolution and framerate.

They update the app regularly, and with the recent update, they added a floating widget capable of managing the recording process.

The only downside is that you can’t record with the camera while recording the screen. Therefore, if you’re making a Minecraft movie where you’re the star, it may not be the best option for you. But it’s getting there!
