If you are a gamer, you will want all your precious gaming moments saved so that you can share them online for others to see and comment. Lucky for you, these next generation consoles like the PlayStation 4 have built-in features that enable you to record and share gameplay directly from the console.
However, this feature has some limitations. All the gameplay videos will be recorded in 720p with a framerate of 30fps, and the maximum duration is 15 minutes. Nevertheless, the good thing is that, by default, PlayStation 4 records your gameplay in the background.
If you forget to record something interesting that has happened in a game, just go to the share menu and you will find a recorded video with a previously set time frame. And now, without further ado, here is how to record your gameplay on the PS4.
First, there are two share buttons – the standard control set and the easy screenshot control set. You can decide which one you prefer. These allow you to take screenshots and record gameplay with ease. To choose between the two types of share button controls, you will need to press the share button to open up the Share menu. Then, press the options button and select Share settings. After that, select Share Button Control Type. This is where you will chose between the two share button control types.
After this, you can set the time duration of your recorded gameplay in the background. Go to the share settings menu and choose Video clip settings. Select Length of the video clip and choose the duration that will suit you the most.
To record gameplay, double tap the share button and a notification will pop up on the top left of your screen, and this means that the recording has started. If you want to save it, go to the share menu, and press the square button to save.
