If you have just purchased your Samsung Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus, you might want to know how to turn off tracking on this device.
This function is Google ways of locating your position on a constant basis. It allows Google maps and other apps to work effectively. As well a wanting to keep you exact location private, you might also want to save on battery and data usage.
For these reasons we want to explain how all users can switch off this feature any time they wish on Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus.
Turn Off Tracking
- Ensure your device is on.
- Go to the Home screen.
- Then open Menu.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Privacy & Safety.
- Find and tap Location.
- Find and select Google Location History.
- Select the box to disable the location history.
When you have completed these steps, tracking will be off on your Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus. Follow the steps again and check the final box to turn it back on.
