Can I View my Past Like History in Bumble?

Can you view your past like history in Bumble? If I accidentally swiped left and meant to swipe right, can I undo it? Will I see someone I didn’t choose again? How do I know a profile is active on Bumble? Everyone has questions around this dating app so I’m going to answer a few today.

Bumble is still growing by all accounts. That makes now a good time to check it out if you’re fed up with the futility of Tinder. As dating apps go, it’s a similar pool of hopefuls but skewed in a slightly different way. As women are the only ones who can initiate conversation, more women seem to use it. A higher quality of guys also seem to be on there which is good news for everyone.

Can you view your past like history in Bumble?

Can you view your past like history in Bumble? As far as I can tell, you cannot go back to see who you swiped left or right on. You can view old conversations, so is a kind of way to see old likes but aside from that, there is no tally of who you swiped on in any direction.

You will find as you use the app that the same profiles come round again and you begin recognizing certain images. It’s not the same but unless you live somewhere like LA with thousands of users, you will see familiar profile images. While not an exact measure of past like history, you will soon create a mental picture of the app and your local dating scene.

If I accidentally swiped left and meant to swipe right, can I undo it?

Can you undo an accidental left swipe? For once you can undo this. All you need to do is shake your phone to activate Backtrack. This is a feature within Bumble that doesn’t punish you for inattention. You can have three Backtracks at once and they are replenished once every three hours.

If you help give free publicity to Bumble through social media, you can get more Backtracks.

What happens if I accidentally unmatched with someone?

It happens. You’re using Bumble with only half your attention and accidentally unmatch with someone. You’re already a couple of more swipes along before you realize what you have done and when you go back to your matches, they are no longer there.

In this situation there is nothing you can do except wait for them to come around again. They may see your profile in their stack and match you but otherwise, you have a bit of a wait until you see them unfortunately.

Will I see someone I didn’t choose again in Bumble?

If you swiped left and then wanted to change your mind but were too late to Backtrack, you may see the person again in your stack. It depends on where you live and how many other users there are. As mentioned above, if you live in a big city with thousands of Bumble users, it may be a while before they reappear, but reappear they will.

The only variable is the amount of time it will take for them to appear. In areas with more users, it will take longer. In smaller areas or places with fewer Bumble users, they will likely appear much faster.

How do I know a profile is active on Bumble?

Can you tell whether a profile is an active user or not in Bumble? Not really no. Bumble does not remove inactive profiles from circulation but it does give active accounts preference. Those profile cards you see first will be active accounts. If you have a long swiping session and depending on how many active users you have in your area, you may come across inactive profiles.

As far as I know, there is no marker telling you whether an account is active or not.

Do I have to use Facebook images with Bumble?

Bumble does offer to let you use your Facebook profile to create your dating profile but you don’t have to. You don’t have to use Facebook at all as you can join Bumble with your phone number and create a profile from scratch.

I would suggest this is actually the better way as you can keep the two sides of your life separate and while it wouldn’t take long for someone to find you on Facebook, that degree of separation may come in useful if a date goes horribly wrong or you end up with a stalker.

Bumble is both similar to and different from Tinder. It’s a different atmosphere with a different feel but the same dating game. It is well worth trying of Tinder doesn’t work out or if you don’t mind working harder for a slightly higher quality audience though!
