What Device Should I Use?

Bear in mind that you can include up to eight people in one conversation. Their videos will appear on your screen at the same time. That’s why many people prefer to use House Party on their Mac or tablet. The images are bigger, and you can see your friends with more clarity.

However, if you don’t mind somewhat smaller images, you can use the app on your phone and still enjoy all its perks. The features are the same.

How to Use a Camera?

When a friend calls you, bear in mind that you may automatically join a video call. In other words, your camera will be turned on from the beginning. You’ll be able to see your friends, and they’ll be able to see you as well.

House Party is an app based on video interaction, and that’s why the app assumes that you’d like to have your camera on. Don’t worry, though. You can turn it off whenever you want.

How to Turn Off Camera?

It doesn’t matter what device you’re using, as the commands are similar. During the call, you’ll be able to see commands at the bottom of the screen. Again, it doesn’t matter whether you’re talking to only one person or a group of friends. The interface will look the same.

If you want to disable your camera, tap on three dots in the bottom left corner of the screen. After that, tap on the “Disable Camera” sign, which should be enough.

Even if you decide to disable your camera, you’ll still be able to see your friends and their videos unless they disable it too.

Of course, you can enable your camera whenever you want. All you have to do is tap on the “Enable Camera” sign at the bottom of the screen.

Can I Flip the Camera?

Your phone will record the screen as you normally do when you want to record it. The video will be saved to your Gallery, so just make sure that you have enough storage space on your phone.

Bear in mind that filming things can sometimes be contentious, so make sure that your friends know you’re about to record the screen. Some people may not be comfortable with you posting their silly videos on social media. Make sure that you always check with other participants whether it’s ok to record the screen and post that video online.

Sending a Facemail

It has a unique feature that allows you to send facemails to your friends. Facemails are basically short recordings of you speaking.
