The Best Dell Monitors in 2022

Dell is one of the leading brands when it comes to tech and PC parts. They create such amazing PCs that their other products are often forgotten. A product line of Dell that’s really worth looking into always is their monitors. If you’re looking for a new monitor, be it for gaming or for general use, you should consider getting a Dell monitor ASAP.

On this list, we have a selection of the 6 best Dell monitors that your money can buy right now. Whether it’s for gaming, professional work, or even entertainment, Dell definitely has something for you. The choice is yours to make. Some of these monitors cater to gamers while some cater to professionals. Regardless, what we can say about these Dell monitors is that they are all definitely worth the expense. Let’s start with the list.

01 Dell P2720D

We’re starting off this list with a monitor that was released back in 2020. Despite being an older model, the Dell P2720D is one of the best Dell Monitors overall thanks to its slew of amazing features.

The P2720DC’s 27-inch screen features In-plane Switching Technology better known as IPS which makes the display amazing. It also has a standard widescreen aspect ratio of 16:9. The flat screen is housed in a matte black case. The bezel is minimal. There are only 0.6 inches of bezel below the screen. Better yet, the top and the sides are slightly smaller, making it a good candidate for a multi-monitor setup, which we’ll dive into later.

The Dell P2720DC, including the stand, sizes up at 15.6 x 24.2 x 7.1 inches. It’s also fairly light at 16 pounds. The case is connected to a silver shank on the back and has a hole near the bottom for cables to pass through. The stem is on a stable, gray base with a 9.6 x 7.6 inch footprint, and the monitor feels pretty sturdy on the mount. The Dell Express DaisyChaining feature can automatically connect the Windows extended mode display settings for multi-monitor configurations when the second monitor is connected to a DisplayPort connector.

However, you must first adjust the DisplayPort Multistream Transport (MST) settings on the on-screen display (OSD). The second display does not have to be another P2720DC, nor does it have to be Dell. Moreover, it doesn’t have to be the same size or resolution; however, you must make sure that it doesn’t go above QHD.

The Dell P2720D’s good price range and amazing quality make it one of the best Dell monitors to have right now. If you can get one of these monitors for yourself, you’re in for a big treat.

02 Dell SE2416HX

What’s great about Dell is that they have monitors for all budget ranges. If you’re on the lookout for something that’s affordable and amazing at the same time, then the Dell SE2416HX is the monitor for you.

The Dell SE2416HX Monitor is one of the cheapest Dell monitors you can buy right now. This is an IPS (in-plane switching) monitor with a wide viewing angle and excellent color accuracy. The overall brightness and color delivered by the monitor are incomparable to other Dell monitors right now, but don’t expect too much from a budget monitor. Keep in mind that this monitor is less than $ 200, so it’s a compromise.

With working from home becoming increasingly common, it’s imperative to get a cheap yet high-quality monitor. The good news is that the Dell SE2416HX is more than enough for the job. Again, this is not the best option if you need a monitor to play high-speed HD movies and games (see below). However, if you need something that can function for work or even a convenient second monitor to consume media when the main screen is busy, the Dell SE2416HX is a fantastic option.

The Dell SE2416HX is also an amazing buy if you’re looking for a gaming monitor. The great display and numerous ports make the Dell SE2416HX a good option for gamers. Of course, you also have to consider how cheap the monitor is. When buying this, you can focus your budget on getting other, important parts for your PC right now.

While cheap, the Dell SE2416HX definitely doesn’t disappoint. The monitor comes with an amazing selection of features that are all placed into one solid build. It might be cheap, but the quality of the Dell SE2416HX is anything but.

03 Dell U4021QW

Dell has its cheap monitors, but they also have a good selection of premium monitors as well. If you have the budget to spend, then the Dell U4021QW is definitely worth considering.

The Dell U4021QW is literally unique. This is the world’s first 40-inch ultra-wide WUHD 5K2K curved monitor, a beast with a 21:9 aspect ratio and a 10-bit panel with high color accuracy. However, while it’s the first ultra-wide monitor, it’s not the best monitor overall. Regardless, the monitor offers a lot of amazing benefits for its price. If you have the budget for it, this monitor is worth getting.

What’s great about it is that you can easily set up three windows side by side without getting cramped. If you feel particularly masochistic, you can divide your monitor into six sections, each with a window. The resolution is high enough to actually capture it, so you can greatly ramp up your productivity once you get used to it.

Another upside to the monitor is its amazing connectivity. It comes with a total of two HDMI 2.0 ports, a Thunderbolt 3 USB TypeC with 90 W power, an Ethernet port, a USB TypeB upstream, a DisplayPort 1.4, and a headphone jack.

While definitely expensive, the Dell U4021QW doesn’t lag behind when it comes to overall quality and features. It’s an amazing monitor to have right now, and it shows just how great Dell is at their craft.

Pros

  • Huge screen
  • Great connectivity
  • IPS panel

  • Very expensive

04 Dell U2720Q

When it comes to monitors, one feature that most people look for nowadays is 4K. Dell delivers some amazing 4K monitors, but one that we’re really impressed with right now is the Dell U2720Q.

The Dell U2720Q is an amazing 4K monitor. Of course, it’s also one of the top Dell monitors you can buy right now. With its huge 1300:1 contrast ratio and 3840 x 2160 pixels, this 27-inch model sits somewhere between a high-end 27-inch 4K monitor and the next level of a Full-on Pro model.

Basically, this is good if you work in a place where color is important. It’s also a good choice if you’re looking to watch HD movies. It’ss that the screen is also fine for the standards of many gamers, but it’s not the most ideal. Its refresh rate is a little too low.

Connectivity includes two USB C ports, which will allow you to connect and charge your laptop. It also comes with a DisplayPort 1.4 connector, an HDMI connector, and three USB A connectors. Also, like most Dell monitors, the design and the ergonomics of this monitor are excellent. If you’re investing in high spec monitors, then this is Dell’s highest color precision 4K monitor.

The Dell U2720Q offers an amazing 4K display for its price range. It might not be the best 4K around, but if you want something that comes packed with the quality of Dell, then the U2720Q is the way to go.

Pros

  • Native 4K
  • Great color range
  • Sleek design

Cons

  • Subpar performance for gaming

Specification

  • Price $561.95
  • Resolution 3840 x 2160
  • Display IPS
  • Screen Size 27 inches
  • Item Weight 14.60 lbs

05 Dell Alienware AW2521H

If you’re looking for a monitor for gaming, you’re in luck. Dell has a selection of amazing monitors for gaming too, and the best in our opinion is the Dell Alienware AW2521H. It’s a collaboration of Dell and Alienware, tough to see how it could go wrong.

High-speed flat-panel displays used to be limited by technology for speed, but not anymore. Now you have a fast IPS that regains amazing viewing angles and better color ranges. The AW2521H utilizes the technology, along with a white LED edge array backlight. The HDR10 signal comes with an effective dynamic contrast feature.

As expected from Alienware monitors, the build quality of this monitor is excellent. Additionally, the stand comes with a variety of ergonomic adjustments. It also has excellent reflection processing and excellent brightness maximums as well. The screen covers the entirety of the RGB color space and provides excellent color accuracy from the get-go.

Despite having a more average ratio compared to other IPS panels, black still looks a bit grayish, making it ideal for games in the dark. Overall, this is Dell’s excellent gaming monitor. The stand is of high quality and offers a 5-inch height adjustment, 20 degrees left/right rotation, 5/21 degree tilt, and 90-degree portrait mode. There is a convenient numeric scale inside the front view of the stanchions to remind you of the height setting as you move the AW2521H from one location to another.

The Dell Alienware AW2521H has all the makings to be one of the best gaming monitors around. It’s cheap, filled with amazing features, and overall durable. If you want a gaming monitor right now, then this is it.

Pros

  • Fastest refresh rate of all Dell monitors
  • Excellent HDR
  • Comes with Nvidia software

Cons

  • No FreeSync

06 Dell S3221QS

Curved displays are great if you’re looking for a TV with a wide viewing angle. It’s also a great choice if you want something stylish. If that’s what you’re looking for, then the Dell S3221QS is going to be one of the best options for you.

With a 32-inch clear, crisp display, the Dell S3221QS offers a large screen space for multitaskers, graphics pros, and gamers alike. With a retail price of just over $4,000, it’s the perfect entry to the list of the most valuable 4K monitors. And there are many great features, from modern styles to high-quality finishes and AMD FreeSync integration. This last feature benefits those who are into fast-paced scenes of casual games and movies. Overall, the S3221QS is perfect for anyone’s home or workspace.

However, creatives and color purists can be disappointed by the lack of color accuracy. Despite the budget-friendly price, the S3221QS has excellent build quality and style. Along with the loose 1800 mm curvature, the first thing that surprised me was the white textured shell on the back of the monitor. Another noteworthy design choice is its sturdy and stable, matte silver base and stand.

Using multiple colors may not be what everyone likes, but I think it sets it apart from the black flat monitors that everyone’s used to. The S3221QS appears to be designed to fit the aesthetics of a more modern home or office. However, the black cable on the back of the monitor spoils this modern look. You could do some things to make a change for those design flaws but overall, this monitor is amazing.

The Dell S3221QS is an amazing curved monitor that comes with a mean punch. It’s a fantastic monitor that will get you what you need for most of your professional or hobby needs.

Pros

  • Great design
  • Amazing display
  • Cheap

Cons

  • Slow response rate

Specification

  • Price $431.96
  • Resolution 3840 x 2160
  • Display W-LED
  • Screen Size 31.5 inches
  • Item Weight ‎16.25 pounds
