This laptop has all the standard features as you would expect, such as automatic updates, speedy boot times, virus protection, and a decent battery.

This laptop has an 11.6” HD touch display and a super slim body. It runs on an Intel Celeron N3060 CPU. It is not the fastest, though it’s more than enough for daily tasks.

03 Acer Nitro High Performance

Acer Nitro High Performance

The Acer Nitro is a low-to-midrange gaming laptop with quality components and reliable performance. It features an Intel i5-7300HQ CPU, a fast Nvidia GeForce GT 1050 4GB GPU, and 8GB of DDR4 ram, with room for future upgrades.

Although it doesn’t have an SSD, the 1TB HDD offers better value as you’ll have extra room for your games.

Even though the laptop’s CPU tops out at 3.5GHz, that’s more than enough to run many triples A titles at intermediate graphics settings. As a bonus, the backlit keyboard will make it easier to play and browse at night, while the 15.6 FHD display will give you a very nice resolution.

  • Very affordable entry-level gaming laptop.
  • High-performance components.

  • It has ample room for RAM and storage upgrades.
  • FHD 15.6” display.

04 Dell G5

Dell G5

Although Dell markets it as a gaming laptop, this one’s more of a video editing machine. The Dell G5 has an Intel i7-8750H six-core CPU, which is excellent for multithreading. Its turbo boost of 3.9GHz gives it good compression speed for the money.

The Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050Ti graphics card is not bad either, especially since it comes with extra video memory. Although the G5 has just 8GB of RAM, it’s high-speed DDR4 RAM clocks at 2,666MHz.

You’re also getting ample storage space too. You can install your Windows on the 128GB SSD and use the 1TB HDD for storage purposes. This configuration should be more than enough for entry to intermediate-level video editing, as long as the speed is not your primary objective.

You can also use this laptop for photo editing, casual gaming, programming, and loads of other applications, too.

  • 6-core i7 CPU @ 3.9GHz Turbo Boost.
  • Nvidia 1050Ti graphics card.
  • 128GB SSD for boot.
  • 1TH HDD primary storage.

05 Dell Inspiron 13 7000

Dell Inspiron 13 7000

Here’s the thing about the Inspiron 13 7000. It went through its fair share of iterations. That said, this is an excellent business laptop with a low price tag. You can type in your spreadsheets, answer multiple emails at a time, hold conference calls, give presentations, and even do some light gaming to unwind at the end of the day.

The 13.3” FHD touchscreen has very vibrant colors and offers plenty of versatility. The Ryzen 5 2500U CPU is quite a reliable quad-core processor. With the included 8GB of DDR4 RAM and the AMD Radeon RX Vega 8 GPU, you will also get a quite decent performance in a wide range of applications.

Note, however, that the laptop doesn’t come with an optical drive or a lot of storage capacity beyond that of the 256GB SSD. That said, you have many connection ports, including USB 2.0, 3.0, USB Type-C, a card reader, and more.

  • Balanced configuration for everyday tasks and beyond.
  • Can handle light gaming and presentations.
  • Fast boot time and processing speed.
  • 2-in-1 design so that you can use it as a tablet.
  • FHD touchscreen display.
  • It has a dedicated graphics card.

  • Will run hot when abused in games.
  • Not the best battery life.

  • Price $599
  • Memory ‎8 GB DDR
  • Storage 256 GB
  • Graphics ‎AMD Radeon RX Vega 8
  • Processor AMD Ryzen 5 2500U Quad-Core Processor 2. 0GHz
