Asus included several ROG-branded features on the Crosshair VIII Dark Hero, including SupremeFX audio, GameFirst V network optimization, RAMCache III memory caching, and more. Asus also included several software packages with the motherboard, including AI Suite III, Armoury Crate, GameFirst V, MemTweakIt, and more.

We tested the Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero in our test lab using an AMD Ryzen 9 3900X processor and 16 GB of DDR4-3200 MHz memory. We also installed an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti graphics card for testing.

The Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero performed well in our tests. It had no trouble handling our CPU and memory overclocks. The motherboard also performed well in our gaming and benchmark tests. We were impressed with the performance of the Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero overall. It’s one of the most expensive X570 motherboards on the market, but it delivers the goods. If you’re looking for a top-of-the-line X570 motherboard, the Crosshair VIII Dark Hero is worth considering.
