TCL is always known as one of the brands that delivers some of the best TVs at a minimal price. The TCL 6-Series Roku TV proves that the brand’s reputation is well-founded.
The 6 Series is affordable yet cost-effective; it has the features you’d find on a TV that costs double the price of this one. When talking about performance and overall build, this year’s TCL 6-Series is very impressive. Some reviews say that it is similar to the full-array Samsung Q80T QLED TV and LG Nano 90, both using Quantum Dot variations to improve color accuracy. However, this TV is, of course, the cheaper option.
The TCL 6-Series is also an excellent gaming TV thanks to its THX-certified game modes. This mode combines state-of-the-art gaming features such as variable refresh rates and automatic low latency modes with great color and minimal latency. From smart design details such as stand cable management to the always-rugged Roku TV platform, the TCL 6-Series R635 is the best TV available for less than $ 1,000, and there’s still more.
TCL packs this midrange priced TV with a few more high-end features, more than it has ever had with its other TVs. The TV uses Quantum Dot technology and mini LED backlights to enhance the display. The Q70T QLED TV follows the company’s strategy, which is to create a cheaper set in contrast to its premium TVs. Despite the price, the developer hopes the savings will offset the performance degradation at some cost. This was seen in the Samsung Q60T QLED TV, but it struggled with this approach. The Q70T serves as an upgrade to Samsung’s problematic cheaper models in the past.
As an upgrade, the Q70T balances better but faces fierce competition from cheaper models such as Sony’s TCL 6-series and X900H series. The most important change in the new Q70T that’s available now is the price. It’s cheaper than the same 55-inch Q70R, but still more expensive than the TCL 6-Series Roku TV which is at the top of this list.. The only compromise in this price cut is the switch from dual-LED backlights to full-array backlights on the Q70R last year.
The sound is also a little weak; however, unlike its predecessor, Samsung hasn’t downgraded the Q70T’s processor, so the overall quality is still fairly high. The Q70T produces dark blacks, and its high contrast colors are simply stunning. All of this is thanks to the TV’s HDR10+ support, but sadly it does not support Dobly Vision.
This TV maintains good color ranges even from various viewing angles. This is something that the Samsung Q60T Premium couldn’t handle. For gamers, the Q70T is able to handle action-packed gameplay well, there is no pixel loss or blurring with its built-in game mode setting.

The U8G benefits those who have most of their devices running on Android. When you log in with your Gmail account, everything that’s connected to your account is automatically logged in, saving users the hassle of re-logging in and passwords for specific apps, so if you have Netflix or Disney+ on your mobile phone, Google will automatically use your password bank when prompted.
In addition to 4K resolution, U8G’s native 120 Hz screen is able to accommodate IMAX Enhanced, Dolby IQ, HDR10/HDR10+, Quantum Dot, and a few other enhancers. The dimming zone has been expanded from 180 to 360, with a dynamic contrast ratio of 10,000: 1 and peak brightness of up to 1,500 knits. This means that the image quality remains staggering, regardless of the angle you’re viewing from or the brightness of the room you’re in. A special anti-glare film is also attached to the U8G. As mentioned earlier, the U8G is probably Hisense’s most balanced TV in terms of functionality, but the fantastic image quality is its main attraction.
If you listen to music through a music streaming service like Tidal, the sound quality is great, if you stay within a distance for the sound. The treble and mids have a certain richness, and the bass is wonderfully deep. Note that at higher levels there are distortions that some people may find uncomfortable.

TCL optimized the 5-Series design compared to the previous year’s model. The bezel around the screen is more sleek and simple than before. Overall, the design is more compact and thin. This Roku TV comes with everything that you’d want; it has amazing software and a great selection of apps. Thanks to the major upgrades in the design, this TV is even more viable compared to its predecessors. Hopefully, we get to see more of these types of upgrades in the future as we can see this series becoming even slimmer.
There are four HDMI 2.1 ports on the back, one of which has an Audio Return Channel (ARC), which is useful for connected soundbars and AV receivers. The HDMI port only supports a 60 Hz Refresh Rate, but only avid gamers will be disappointed. There is also a cable/aerial input, optical audio output, USB 2.0 port, and minijack AV input on the back. You might need an adapter that is not included for the last connection.
Overall this TCL TV is an amazing buy. It’s also the cheapest TV that comes with a whopping 75-inch display right now. If you’re looking for a large TV but aren’t too free when it comes to the budget, then this might be what you are looking for.

Like most TVs on this list, the Sony Bravia X800H does become a little lackluster when it comes to the sound department, but overall, it’s an amazing TV that you should definitely keep an eye on.
One of the upsides of the Sony Bravia X800H is that it’s considered to be one of the best Android TVs around. True enough, the TV doesn’t share the same features of other premium Sony TVs yet. Still, it’s one of the best 2020 models right now, and it comes at an amazing price. Thanks to its Android roots, the Sony Bravia X800H is able to become one of the most app and feature-rich TVs out on the market right now.
One of the reasons why this TV is so beloved is that it comes packed with Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos as well. This gives the TV an amazing performance that’s very hard to find in its price range. Our main concern with the Sony Bravia X800H is that it can be very clunky with regard to its remote control. Other than that, this is easily one of the best TVs out there.

The TV comes with three HDMI 2.1 connectors that provide game-friendly features such as automatic low latency mode and surprisingly short latency of only 13.1 ms. If you want a TV that delivers a great gaming performance for less money, then this might just be the budget gaming TV you should get. However, you need to remember that the TV is a 60 Hz display. And while the general performance is passable, the brightness isn’t the best, and the audio would benefit from the addition of a soundbar. Perhaps the most impressive aspect of this TV is its price. Nearly all of the sizes of the TV retail for less than $1,000.
