If you have the OnePlus 5T, you have undoubtedly taken advantage of its high-end camera to take some terrific photographs. Some of those pictures, you want to share with your family and friends – but some of them might be images that you want to keep private. Most of us keep some personal photos on our smartphone which we don’t want to share with the world, or even with someone who happens to pick up our phone. Fortunately, the OnePlus 5T offers a Private Mode for pictures that lets you keep your secret pictures private. In this article, I’ll show you how to activate, deactivate, and use Private Mode.

How to Activate Private Mode on OnePlus 5T

  1. Turn on your smartphone
  2. Swipe down with two fingers to get to Quick Settings from the top of the screen
  3. Select Private Mode from the list of options
  4. If this is the first time activating Private Mode, you’ll be given instructions and asked to enter a PIN code

How to Deactivate Private Mode on OnePlus 5T

How to Add and Remove Files or Photo from Private Mode on the OnePlus 5T

  1. Activate Private Mode on OnePlus 5T
  2. Browse and select the file or photo that you want to hide in Private Mode
  3. Select the file (s) and choose the Overflow (three dots or bars) button in the upper right

Be sure not to forget or misplace your PIN, however, as without it you won’t be able to regain access to any images you keep stored in the Private Mode area of your phone.
