Android 6.0 M: How To Turn OFF And ON Note 5 Without Power Button

Before you can even start using all the wonderful features of the new flagship smartphone from Samsung, you need to be able to turn on and off the Galaxy Note 5 running Android 6.0 Marshmallow. If you have damaged the power button on the smartphone, it’s almost impossible to turn ON and OFF the Samsung Galaxy. Don’t worry if you’ve broken or damaged the power button on your smartphone, we’ll explain below how to turn ON and OFF Galaxy Note 5 without power button running Android Marshmallow 6.0.

 

How to turn ON without using the power button with Android 6.0:

  1. When the Galaxy Note 5 is turned off, press and hold the volume button for a few seconds.
  2. While holding the volume button, connect the Galaxy to a computer using a USB cable.
  3. Wait for your phone to boot to Download mode.
  4. Then press down on the volume rocker to cancel the operation.
  5. After the operation has canceled, the Galaxy Note 5 will reboot and turn on.
  6. You have successfully turned on the Galaxy Note 5 without using the power button.

 

How to turn OFF without using the power button on Android 6.0:

  1. Press the home button and go to the Home screen.
  2. Select on the “Applications” icon.
  3. Browse and select the Play Store icon.
  4. In the “Search” box, type in “Button Savior”.
  5. Download and install the application.
  6. You can also download Button Savior on the web if you cannot download it via the Play Store.
  7. After installation, open Button Savior.
  8. After enabling Debugging Mode, open Button Savior and Select “Kill/Start Button Savior Service”.
  9.  A screen will pop-up with a small arrow on the right side of the screen.
  10. Select it to convert it into icons.
  11. Tap and hold on the “Power” button  on the lowest part of the icon list to see device options.
  12. Select on the “Power off” option to turn off your device.
  13. You have successfully turned off the Galaxy Note 5 without using its power button.
