The Best Place to Watch The Big Bang Theory Online

The Big Bang Theory is a typical comedy show about the awkwardness of geeks in everyday society. It is funny, sometimes thoughtful and always entertaining. Having run for twelve seasons so far, it seems I’m not the only one who likes it. If you want to get in on the action, here are the best places to watch The Big Bang Theory online.

I’m going to cover legitimate sources here as everyone knows somewhere to get pirate content if they really want to. I always suggest trying legitimate sources wherever possible as someone has to pay the bills and keep the lights on in The Big Bang Theory studio!

The Big Bang Theory is a CBS show that is coming to an end at season 12. It will be sad to see the gang go but I also think it will be good to see them go. As good as any TV series might be and however engaging the storylines, sometimes enough is enough and I think now is a good time to say goodbye.

That doesn’t mean I won’t watch reruns occasionally though!

When I do want a little geek hit, these are the places I would go to watch.

CBS or CBS All Access

The logical place to try first is the source. The CBS website lets you watch clips of the shows for free. CBS All Access, the network’s streaming service has many of the seasons and episodes available as part of the package. You don’t need to buy CBS All Access on its own though as the channel is available with other packages like DirecTV, Sling and others.

YouTube

YouTube has a bunch of episodes and seasons available to watch online. At the time of writing, it has all episodes from all twelve seasons available to view. That might change as TV shows come and go and licensing tends to get in the way of everything, but for now at least it’s a place you can watch the show from the very beginning and marvel at how young everyone looks and how the show has developed in terms of quality and engagement.

Amazon Prime Video

Amazon Prime Video currently has some shows from some seasons too. You will need the subscription to be able to watch it but if you already have that, this show is right there. Some are currently shown as unavailable but seasons 10 to 12 are available through the service as long as you also subscribe to the optional CBS All Access pass from within Amazon Prime Video.

iTunes

iTunes also has a selection of The Big Bang Theory for you to watch if you’re already a user. It doesn’t currently have all seasons, but has the majority of the later ones. The downside is that they are expensive, at $29.99 per season. You’re really going to have to like the show if you’re to stump up that kind of cash when you don’t need to!

Google Play

If one has it, the other is going to want it too. Google Play also has The Big Bang Theory but has managed to grab all twelve seasons. If you’re an Android user, this is the logical place to go if you want to buy the seasons.

Microsoft Store

Even the Microsoft Store wants in on the action and has all seasons of The Big Bang Theory for sale. You have to buy the entire season and they aren’t cheap, $19.99 for season one and $39.99 for season 12 but they are there if you want them. You can then watch them on any Microsoft device the same as these other services.

Streaming TV services

Services such as fuboTV, DirecTV, Roku, Sling TV, Hulu, PlayStation Vue and the many other streaming TV services all offer CBS All Access. It will be either as part of the main subscription or as a premium addon. This will bring the world of The Big Bang Theory as part of the content within that channel.

It’s always worth checking the availability of any channel and any TV show or movie within that channel before paying though as these things are never as straightforward as you think. At the time of writing and to the best of my knowledge, any service offering CBS All Access also offers The Big Bang Theory but that can change at any time.
