How to Enable or Disable the Notification LED On Your Samsung Galaxy J5

If you have a Samsung Galaxy J5 smartphone, you may be curious as to whether your phone has LED notifications. The answer to this is that yes, it does. The LED is the little light on the top of your Galaxy J5’s bezel that can flash red or blue light. These flashes are notifications that inform you that a message or call has come in, or that some other app has generated a notification. This lets you know that you have something requesting your attention even if your phone screen is off (because you’re in bed asleep, for example).

However, you may not want this feature enabled on your phone. Not to worry – in this article I will show you how to switch off LED notifications on your Samsung Galaxy J5.

How To Enable/Disable LED Notification

  1. Turn on the Galaxy J5
  2. From the Home screen open the Menu
  3. Tap on Settings
  4. Tap “Sound & Notifications”
  5. Browse for the “LED indicator” option
  6. Use the toggle to enable disable this feature

There are multiple reasons that you might want to disable the LED notification feature on your Galaxy J5. You may not want other people to see your notifications, or you may not want the LED to flash while you are sleeping or are involved in some activity that you don’t want to be distracted from. Now you know how to turn this feature off, so that you can get a good night’s sleep.

One important note – you can’t disable individual notification types for the LED on the Samsung Galaxy J5. You either have LED notifications on, or off.
