These keys light up when the Galaxy J3 is turned on, functioning as a decent way to tell at a glance if the smartphone is on and functioning, even if that isn’t technically their purpose. The reason that the Galaxy J3 touch key lights are turned on is in case of situations where you’re stuck without the best lighting conditions.

If you have touch key lights by the Home button that don’t turn on, below we’ll explain how you can fix this problem.

How to fix touch key lights when they’re not working:
In most cases, the Galaxy J3 touch key lights are not broken, they’re just disabled for the moment. The reason that these touch key lights are turned off is because the Galaxy J3 is in Energy Saving Mode, and when it comes to conserving energy, functions that produce light are usually the first to get pared down. Just follow these step-by-step instructions on how to turn on the touch key lights on the Samsung Galaxy J3.

  1. Turn on the Galaxy J3.
  2. Open the Menu page.
  3. Go to Settings.
  4. Select Quick Settings.
  5. Select Power Saving.
  6. Go to Power Saving Mode.
  7. Then go to Restrict Performance.
  8. Uncheck the box next to Turn off touch key light.

There you go! Just like magic, the touch key lights for your Galaxy J3 should be working just like normal.
