How To Find My Phone Number On Galaxy S8 And Galaxy S8 Plus

No reason to feel embarrassed by that, we all need to find out our phone number at some point, especially when we just switched to a new SIM. For those who use a Samsung Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus, the instructions are more than simple. The device actually has a special section in its menus, labeled as the SIM card status, where you can find a couple of relevant information, the phone number included.

If everything is OK with your new SIM card, all you have to do to find Galaxy S8 phone number is to:

  1. Go to the Home screen;
  2. Tap on the Apps icon;
  3. Select the Settings menu;
  4. Scroll down until you find the section About device and tap on it;
  5. In the new window, touch the Status menu;
  6. Select the SIM card status;
  7. In the newly opened window, you should be able to see the phone number.

We said “if everything is OK” because sometimes you might follow these steps just to discover that your Galaxy S8 phone number is labeled as Unknown. What this means is that there is an issue either with the SIM card or with the account itself.

For an eventual problem with the SIM card, most often it’s just that it isn’t properly placed in the SIM tray. So, all you would have to do is to eject the SIM and place it back once again, making sure you’re doing it right.

If not even this fix enabled you to see the phone number on Samsung Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus, the only thing left to do is to contact the wireless provider and ask for their help.
