How To Turn ON Apple iPhone 7 And iPhone 7 Plus Developer Mode

The new Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus has many new features including security settings and some options that Apple chooses to hide from the standard user. The good news is that by enabling developer mode on iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, you can access many of the hidden features of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. With Developer Mode Options you can control additional aspects changes to the settings, or enable USB debugging for advanced functions.

If you want to become a developer, install third party software/ROMs, or simply just want to mess with your new phone, you’ll have to start with unlocking the developer menu options on the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The following is a guide on how to turn on Developer Mode on the Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus:

 

How to Enable Developer Mode on iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus

  1. Connect your iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus to your computer
  2. Hold the “Home” + “Power” buttons on your iPhone 7 at the same time for 10 seconds.
  3. Let go of the “Power” button without releasing the home button. Continue press the “Home” button for another 10 seconds.
  4. Release “Home”, and your screen should stay completely black. If so, chances are you successfully entered into iPhone DFU Reset.

Note: iTunes will open and report that: “iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus before it can be used with iTunes.” If your screen is black and iTunes reports this message, this is a surefire indicator that you are successfully in DFU mode.
