How To Unlock Activation Lock on iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max and iPhone Xr

Want to learn how to unlock your Activation Lock without providing your iCloud password safely? Apple has added a feature to the iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max and iPhone Xr popularly called “Find My iPhone.” This feature acts as a service to link your Apple ID or any of your devices like the iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max and iPhone Xr, iPod Touch, and iPad if they get lost or stolen. Any Apple device with the “Find My iPhone” feature enabled cannot be restored without the providing the Apple ID login password.

The Activation Lock was introduced by Apple to help track your iPhone and combat the menace of stolen devices being sold easily on the black market. The only downside to this feature is that some owners of the iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max and iPhone Xr might have bought their smartphone from third-party resellers who already activated the “Find My iPhone” feature.

Such owners might not have access to the original password in order to disable the Activation Lock, which will leave the iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max and iPhone Xr iCloud storage locked.

How to Disable iOS 12 Activation Lock

There is a bug in iOS 12 that allows anyone to deactivate the Find My iPhone feature and bypass Activation Lock without needing a password.

When you restart your iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max and iPhone Xr, your phone will direct you to iCloud settings where you can turn off “Find My iPhone” feature by filling in the correct password. If you don’t know the password, then click on “Delete Account” and toggle off “Find My iPhone” at the same time after which you switch off your smartphone.

Once your iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max and iPhone Xr has been turned back on, you can expect the Activation Lock to be deleted, and your phone will no longer sync to the previous Apple ID.

The only other option available that you can use to remove Apple ID is by contacting the third-party individual or company that sold the iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max and iPhone Xr to you and request for the iCloud account login details so that you can remove your device from their Apple ID.
