Having you notified by your OnePlus 5 into everything that’s happening on it is awesome, not till the notifications don’t go away after you have read it. If you are a OnePlus 5 user, obviously this has happened to you. The notification that doesn’t disappear even you have closed it is the new voicemail notification on your OnePlus 5. In this guide, we’ll be teaching you how to disable the voicemail notification on your smartphone.
For other users, it’s just a plain issue and paying no mind to it should solve the problem. Yet for others, especially ones with an OCD, this may drive them insane. It’s like you’re always receiving a new voicemail, but in reality, it’s the same voicemail you’ve opened hours, or even days ago. Which can really drive you into nuts.
So in a sense, the notification can’t be reliable. The question is, how can you pinpoint whether you need to check or not your voicemail?
In order to stop this madness, we’ve provided two methods for disabling these voicemail notifications once and for all.
Solution #1 – Double Check Whether Your OnePlus 5 Receives a Voicemail
To do this, ask a friend to send you a new one or send yourself one. The main idea of this method is that when you’re receiving a new voicemail and you’re about to read it, you have the opportunity to disable it. Just be sure to delete the message once you’ve read it. Now, if this doesn’t work, move on to the next method.
Solution #2 – Clear Your OnePlus 5’s Data
You will have to access some settings for this purpose:
- Open your Settings Menu
- Choose Apps
- Press Phone (All tab)
- Tap Clear Data
- Shut down your OnePlus smartphone
- Wait for 10 seconds then boot your OnePlus 5 again
Now, you’ll be able to get away from the pesky curse of the endless loop of Voicemail Notification!
