Samsung Galaxy S8 And Galaxy S8 Plus: How To Disable Talkback – Solved

The talkback feature of a Samsung Galaxy S8 is funny only until your smartphone starts making unsolicited talks. If you cannot properly navigate on your phone’s Android menu because of these talks, deactivating the feature is simple and easy.
You’d have to remember, though, that this function was intended as a navigation support for the users with impaired vision so you probably didn’t need it anyway. If you have activated it out of pure curiosity, you already noticed that it doesn’t help you, personally, that much… It talks a lot whenever you’re trying to navigate through the menus and the menu itself has changed…

General navigation tips when the Talkback is active:

  • Controlling your Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone will be performed through the currently active talkback function;
  • For opening an app or accessing a menu entry, you must double tap a button, very fast;
  • Scrolling through the menus, just like you do with Internet pages, will require the typical scrolling movement with the two fingers on the display;
  • The same two fingers movement, only that with a swipe from right to left or the other way around, will allow you to switch from one Home screen to another.

How to disable the Talkback on Samsung Galaxy S8:

  1. Access the Menu;
  2. Tap on Settings;
  3. Select Accessibility;
  4. Scroll towards the bottom of the menu;
  5. Identify the Talkback option;
  6. Tap on it and use its slider to switch it from On to Off;
  7. Leave the menus when you have finished.

With these simple steps, the Talkback feature of your Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone has been easily deactivated. The same menu will help you turn it back on in the future, if you will ever decide that you want to do so.
