YouTube account EverythingApplePro offers a great look at certain performance comparisons between every iPhone model dating back to 2007’s original “iPhone 2G.” With a collection of devices destined to make Apple fans jealous, the crew tests unlock, reboot, shutdown, app launching, and web browsing speeds between the eight iPhone models.

Each device was loaded with a fresh install of the latest compatible version of iOS and no background apps or tasks were run during the tests. While the comparison may not be entirely fair due to the reduced capability of older devices to run newer builds of iOS — such as the iPhone 4 and iOS 7 — the comparison offers an interesting look at the evolution of Apple’s flagship product.
