It isn’t an ongoing series, but it’s still one to consider. It’s a three-season story about young Leonardo Da Vinci, set in Florence, Italy. It’s imaginative, mysterious, and a great example of what can be accomplished when history meets creative writing.

The White Queen

The White Queen is a beautifully made miniseries that transports its viewers to the War of the Roses period in 15^th century England. The series focuses on the female protagonists and how they try to obtain power during periods of crises and wars. There is a sequel called “The White Princess,” also available on Starz.
