Maybe you do not know that your Galaxy S9 tracks your every move as long the location feature is switched on. The work of the location feature is to provide the platform for apps on your Galaxy S9 that are using the GPS feature. Without the GPS system, these apps cannot work properly.
Apps like Google Maps and Uber will require that you switch on the location service feature for them to identify your current location and function properly. In this case, the tracking feature becomes important and unavoidable.
But if your privacy is of utmost importance to you and you do not want anybody to know your current location, then you should consider deactivating the location services. Another advantage to switching of the location service is that it saves your Galaxy S9 battery life.
For the location service to work, the feature will need to track and ping you constantly which will have a direct impact on your battery life. So whenever you are running low on battery, it is always advisable to switch off the location services and other apps that you are not using to save battery life for more important things.
