Turning ON Predictive Text Samsung Galaxy Note 8

Do you own the Samsung Galaxy Note 8? Hopefully, you’re enjoying the smartphone already. The great thing about the Galaxy Note 8 is that whilst it’s packed with features, any features you don’t like can easily be switched on or off at any time. In this guide, we’ll explain how you can switch predictive text on or off.

By default, predictive text should be turned on, so to begin with we’ll explain to you how you can turn on the predictive text feature, then after that we’ll explain to you how you can turn it on.

How to turn off predictive text on Samsung Galaxy Note 8:

  1. Make sure your Galaxy Note 8 is switched on.
  2. Open the Settings app.
  3. Tap the Language & Input option.
  4. Tap Samsung Keyboard.
  5. Navigate to Predictive Text and tap to turn it to the ON position.

Advanced settings

Want more control over how predictive text works on the Galaxy Note 8? Thankfully, the Advanced settings menu can give you more predictive text options. For example, you can set how long it takes for alternative keys to be used when you long press a key.

Text correction options

After turning on text correction, you’ll also be given an option for turning on text correction. With this, you’ll be able to add your own words to the built-in dictionary and then in the future the predictive text feature can autocorrect to the newly added words.

Hopefully this guide helped. To turn OFF predictive text, follow the first 5 steps above but on the last step switch the toggle to the OFF position.
