How To Use Silent Mode (Do Not Disturb Mode) On LG V30

The reason for this tip is because, some people are having a hard time trying to locate the Do Not Disturb mode feature, this is because on the LG V30, the Do Not Disturb mode is actually called Silent Mode. The main function of “Silent Mode” is that it can block calls and notifications, which is the same function that is similar to Apple iOS device.

How to turn ON LG V30 Silent Mode

  1. First, make sure that your LG V30 is turned on.
  2. Then, go to Settings.
  3. Press Sound
  4. Scroll until you find “Quiet Mode”
  5. Finally, located in the upper right corner, you’ll see an ON & OFF switch, press the toggle ON

How to setup LG V30 Silent Mode

Underneath the Features section, you will be able to pick the types of alerts and sounds that are blocked which is similar to the Do Not Disturb style featured on the iPhone and iPad. It’s recommended to choose Block incoming calls and turn off notifications. If you are using the LG V30 as an alarm clock, do not tick the box to Turn off alarm and time.

You can either choose to block everyone, or select the favorites or a custom contact list to contact you. It is noteworthy to mention that the Silent Mode will not prevent you from blocking a repeat caller that you do not want to talk to. To do that, you will need to add the number to your contacts, then tap on the three dots located in the upper right and then add the contact to the reject list.
