How to Delete a Zoosk Account [February 2020]

Zoosk is a relatively popular dating site. If the site was successful and you managed to find a partner, you won’t need the account anymore.

So, you might want to delete Zoosk altogether. Unfortunately, Zoosk makes it a bit difficult to delete your account, allowing you only to deactivate it from the site. Of course, you can get your Zoosk account deleted, but things aren’t as simple as on other social media platforms. Here’s how to permanently delete your Zoosk account.

Deactivate It

First, you’re going to head on over to the Zoosk website and log in. You’ve probably already tried finding the option that would allow you to delete the account, but without success. You’ve also probably stumbled upon the Deactivate option. Bear with us here, deactivating your Zoosk account is the first step towards proper, permanent deletion.

If you haven’t tried finding the delete option, here’s how to deactivate your account. First, log in to your Zoosk account with your proper credentials. Assuming you used the website, you won’t have any issues logging in.

Then, go to your profile and select Edit Profile from the drop-down menu. You’ll want to either delete or change all the profile information. If you don’t, you’ll keep receiving match notifications. Besides, deleting your info will keep it secure. So, remove your name, your profile image, your location, and any other pieces of personal info.

Once you’ve done this, go to the Settings page. To access this page, click the gear icon in the upper-right corner of the Zoosk homepage. Then, navigate to Settings. You’ll see a list of options such as Language, Email, Password, and so on. Towards the bottom of the screen, you’ll see the Account Status entry. Click the Edit link next to it. A Deactivate button should appear. Select Deactivate and confirm by clicking Deactivate on the next page.

Zoosk will ask you why you want to deactivate your account. Enter whatever you want and select a reason. You don’t have to type anything to deactivate your account.
