Enabling Developer Mode On Apple iPhone 8 And iPhone 8 Plus

The new iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus comes with extensive features that Apple has intentionally hidden for the standard user. However, you should know that you can have access to these features with just a few clicks. The Developer Mode option gives you extra features like allowing you to change your phone settings; you can also activate the USB debugging for extensive functions.

If you are willing to become a developer, and you want to install third party app software, or maybe you are just a curious user that is willing to know more. You can make use of the following tips to enable the Developer Mode on your iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.

Enabling the Developer Mode on iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus

  1. You will need to connect your device to your computer.
  2. Then hold the Home and Power key together for 10 seconds.
  3. Release the Power key while still holding the Home key. Hold on to the Home key for another 10 seconds.
  4. Release the Home key, and your screen will stay black. If you carried out the process successfully, it means your phone has entered DFU Reset.

It’s important to point out that when you open iTunes, this message will appear: “iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You need to restore this iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus before it can be used with iTunes.”

If you see this message on your phone, it means your iPhone has successfully entered DFU mode. You can send us an email if you have other questions on how to use this process and we will be happy to help you out.
