How to Fix Notification Sounds That is Not Working on Galaxy S9

Reboot your Smartphone

Choose a Different Notification Sound

  • Select the apps menu
  • Click on Settings
  • Open the Sounds and Vibration page
  • Select Default Notifications and choose a new sound from the list

 

Check the Notification Mode

Samsung Galaxy S9 supports three different types of notification mode: Silent, Vibration, and Ring mode. Either of the first two can prevent notification sounds, check to be sure you don’t activate them by mistake. To do this, go to the settings menu of your phone, select the volume option, and as necessary, adjust the notification sound.

Check to Ensure the Notifications are Unblocked

Another option is to check your notification setting to be sure they are unblocked, mostly if you still get notification from few apps. Sometimes your phone and notification sound is in perfect condition, and fixing this can set them right. Go to the setting option, click on Lock screen and Security, and enter the Notification page. Click on the toggle in front of each app you want to unblock.

Check the Game Tools

One of the functions of the game tools is to allow you to block notifications so that it’ll not disturb you with sounds from alert while playing a game. It is possible you forgot to enable notifications after playing a game if you recently use this tool. Go to settings option, navigate to Games under Advanced Features and select Game tools. From there you’ll be able to see if you made any changes to the notifications.
